TiVo VS Cable

Tivo |

This is really a no brainer question. Let’s look at the facts, both companies offer a DVR player, each DVR player can record two shows at the same time on different channels, both sets can schedule a recording two weeks into the future. So far it seems pretty even right? Let’s continue, the only real difference in the features is that the TiVo has something called a Wish List and with this, you program an actors name and the system will record any program that has the actors name on the wish list. That is actually a pretty good feature. The TiVo will search its data bases and find these programs for you.
Now with all that being said, here is what sets them apart, it is Price! With cable, you pay a fee per month for the DVR player and then you play for the cable service, there is no subscription and no termination fee, and you can cancel anytime you wish to. Not so with the TiVo, with TiVo you have to pay a termination fee and then the box would be useless.
Cable offers the same services except the Wish List but image how much money you will save. You rent the box for a cost, and you get great service and features and you can give the box back at any time. But the bottom line is money, money and money. If you are concerned about saving, then the cable provider is right for you!
