This TiVo 80hr Series 2 DT DVR Player, is one of TiVo’s first DVR player has some great features, it has 80 hours of programmable storage capacity, it is optimized for cable, it has the new feature of recording two shows at once. Your TiVo box comes assembled out of the box, no need for a phone line, just hook it up and you are ready to watch. These are TiVo’s new features; you can control live TV, pause, rewind or fast forward. You can schedule the TV shows you want to watch from the web. You can transfer your recorded shows to your computer or laptop.
The only thing you will need is to connect to TiVo is a broadband connection. The new box has Ethernet port so you can connect to your home network system. The box is new and improved with a sleeker look. Everything comes included with your new box, DVR, remote control with batteries, starter guide, cables, power cords, IR control cable, serial control cable, a 25ft phone cord, phone splitter, RF splitter.
TiVo has some great features but it does have a stipulation such as you can record from two basic cable channels or one regular basis and one digital cable channel at once. But the box is not designed to record two digital cable or satellite channels at once. Ethernet cable or a compatible USB wireless network adapter is required but they are not included.
